East Brent St Mary

A fascinating church with one of the most impressive medieval spires in the county. The chancel was rebuilt in the 19th century but the rest is fine Perpendicular in style.

Its furnishings are full of interest including a rare wooden medieval lectern, 15th-century benchend, a glorious 17th-century plaster ceiling (compare Axbridge), Jacobean pulpit and gallery.

ST 342 519, on minor road signposted E of A370 S of Weston.
