Lebisey - Battlefield 2/Forgotten Hope 2 levelMy first map made for Forgotten Hope's second major release, which focuses on the Normandy campaign of 1944. Lebisey is based on the battles fought by British and Canadian forces as they pushed south from the invasion beaches towards the city of Caen. My main source of information was an exceptionally detailed map drawn by British intelligence which shows the positions of the German defences as well as the locations of buildings, field boundaries and landscape features (Link to the map). I used this map as a base for building the level's terrain and positioning woodland, buildings and control points.
