Murzuk Oasis Battlefield 2/Forgotten Hope 2 level

This is my second level designed for the Battlefield 2 modification Forgotten Hope 2. It is based on the Long Range Desert Group's (LRDG) day-light raid on the Italian-held airfield and fort at the town of Murzuk - the capital of the Fezzan region of the Sahara Desert. The design and layout of the map is modelled on maps and photographs found on the internet and the diaries of LRDG trooper Frank Jopling who took part in the raid in January 1941. The terrain heightmap was created entirely in Battlefield 2 Editor with texturing done using bf2_tpaint and colour/detail textures made by myself. I am currently in the process of object placement. All of the objects and vehicles were made by members of the Forgotten Hope 2 team, the town walls and gatehouse were made and imported into the game by myself and mark my modelling debut for FH2. They were modelled and textured in 3ds Max 8 where I also created LOD and COL (collision) models, they were imported into the game using the 3ds Max tools developed by a fellow mod developer.
